HM Land Registry holds the official record for around 85% of land and property in England and Wales, with Registers of Scotland covering Scotland. These records show who owns a property, what they paid, and any rights or restrictions affecting it.

You can search these records for any registered property — just start with a postcode, choose the address, and we'll retrieve the official documents for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I find in Land Registry records?

The official Title Register shows the registered owner(s), the price paid for the last sale (where recorded since April 2000), whether the property is freehold or leasehold, and any mortgages, charges, covenants or restrictions. The Title Plan shows the property's general boundary on a map.

Is every property registered?

Roughly 85% of land in England and Wales is registered, but some older properties that have not changed hands recently are not. If we cannot retrieve a document because a property is unregistered, we refund you in full and let you know, usually within one working day.

Are you HM Land Registry?

No. Land Registry Hub is an independent, private document retrieval service — not a government website and not affiliated with HM Land Registry or Registers of Scotland. We retrieve the official records on your behalf and deliver them quickly.
